Grunge House

With my photos I try to keep the colours as realistic as possible. I tried that with this image first but it just looked to dull. My second port of call is to make it a black and white. This didn’t do it for me either so turned to Nik Software’s ColorFx for inspiration. I cant remember what filters I used on it but it was a few to get the look I wanted; also with a lot of masking.

This house is situated in St James’ Park, opposite where this shot was taken. The lights are so bright that I think I had to take 9 brackets to get all the darks exposed properly along with the bright lights shining in the lens. I might do more with this look as I quite like it.
