By the Aquarium

I see this building every day as I work just across the river from it. The problem is that you don’t really appreciate the architecture around you as you just do not look at it. If you take the time out, often the most interesting things are around you.. I guess I have just got used to the sight of it but on a photowalk I stopped across from it to get a few shots. A quick google search will reveal this information on it:

“The London Aquarium is housed in the County Hall, an early 20th century building that served as the seat of the London Greater Council until it was abandoned in 1986. The aquarium opened in 1997 and occupies several stories at the center of the building.

The aquarium is spread over three floors. More than 3000 species of sea animals and plants can be found here in about 50 water tanks containing an amazing 2 million liters of water, making it one of the largest aquariums in Europe.”
