Pure WheelPure WheelThere something about a white sky that I like about photos. Perhaps is the way I was taught how to use negative space in architecture to affect moods. That puts in in good stead to start applying it in photography. It is always in the back of a photographers mind when they are composing. The more you do it the less you have to think about what you are doing. It just sort of becomes natural to you. I am not sure where I am on that scale but I like to think that it is nearly natural. But if you stop thinking about composition, then what will happen?

Business in the Morning

I knew that my iPhone had a pretty decent camera on it but I’ve never really used it as a camera. Only the occasional selfie and photos of my nephew ever really made it into my camera roll. For some reason while walking through the London streets to work, I reached into my pocket and took this shot. It shouted at me to take it and ever since then I have taken some photos every day on it. Proper photos too, not the rubbish pictures of food that you see everywhere on Instagram.

It was taken when walking through More London towards Tower Bridge that you can see at the centre of the image. It is completely edited on the iPhone, using the app Snapseed. I’m liking that app more and more each day.
