Pure WheelPure WheelThere something about a white sky that I like about photos. Perhaps is the way I was taught how to use negative space in architecture to affect moods. That puts in in good stead to start applying it in photography. It is always in the back of a photographers mind when they are composing. The more you do it the less you have to think about what you are doing. It just sort of becomes natural to you. I am not sure where I am on that scale but I like to think that it is nearly natural. But if you stop thinking about composition, then what will happen?

Spiral to the top

There is no reason why I haven’t been to the Tate Britain. In fact I should have more reason then most as I work within a 1 minute walk of the place but my lunch time is usually filled with catching up on the latest episode of the Game of Thrones or the Walking dead. On a day off work and on a rainy day, I decided to pop my head in for a few shots as I’d heard great things.

In the atrium space of the Tate gallery is a very impressive staircase that looks out onto a huge dome. This isn’t that staircase but a smaller one that I almost missed on my way out. I took a double take and had to look up. I was met with this great view but it was spoiled with all of the cables attached to the lights. Photoshop was on my side and it was a fairly easy fix.
